Ginger nuts are an old and traditional Christmas cookie and an established part of the Danish Christmas celebration. At Coronet, our ginger nuts are made after our own original recipe with spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Other variables may be e.g. butter or almonds in the recipe, which adds something extra to the lovely flavour. The ginger nuts are baked at a high temperature to give the golden and light brown colour and the hard and crunchy surface.
The original and classic ginger nut is ‘moulded’ into a little round nut, but you can also choose a version where it is sprayed directly onto the baking plate, giving a different surface and appearance.
We are very proud of our ginger nuts, which several times have won ‘best in test’ in various consumer tests, and for many people these are just ‘the right ginger nuts’.
